Fresh-cut flowers adorned a candlelit Kalgoorlie Town Hall as the sound of a classical string quartet filled the building for a female-focused networking dinner during Australia’s biggest mining forum. The classy Women in Mining and Resources WA event on Monday was an opportunity for women and men at all levels of the industry to connect on the first evening of the Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum WIMWA founder and chair Sabina Shugg called on several noteworthy people to share insights from their careers to inspire attendees. Hosts served up a delightful selection of sweet and savoury food as attendees mingled to the sound of the Dolce String Quartet.
