Chapman Valley couldn’t contain their excitement after ending years of pain and bringing a 32-year premiership drought to a close when they captured the league flag. The celebrations went on for days and the Royal army came together to sing the club song in one big circle on Wonthella Oval, capturing the community spirit that the win gave. The Towns girls rushed the field after they won their first ever flag, with a huddle forming of players grabbing each other. They reached the pinnacle of the league with the win and it was on full display for the crowd. Brigades reserves couldn’t believe they stole the win from under Valley’s feet, kicking a game-winning goal with two minutes to play. The Hawks players were all together celebrating while there were shattered Royals all over the field in disbelief at what had happened. The colts were up and about after their win that had been sealed before the siren blew, and the Mullewa side celebrated hard after capturing back-to-back flags.
