Narrogin Town Hall was full to the brim with theatre lovers on January 29 for A Fortunate Life, a theatrical adaption of Albert Facey’s adventurous life in the Wheatbelt.

Production companies Theatre 180 and CinemaStage collaborated to transform Facey’s book into an immersive theatre and cinematic performance.

The screen behind the actors was used to display archival footage, historic photographs, landscapes and animation to help tell the story.

The near-40C heat did not stop people packing into the historic building for the show.
