Open Day show off college for students, parents

The WA College of Agriculture Narrogin held its annual open day last Friday, celebrating the school’s 112-year history and showcasing what it has to offer.

Principal Stephan Watt said the focus of the college was to add value to every student.

“The annual Open Day is an opportunity for current and prospective parents and carers to view the college facilities and learn about how their son or daughter could benefit,” he said.

All attendees were spoilt for choice with entertainment.

Students competed in sheep shearing and equine cutting and demonstrations of various trades were held in the college’s various workshops.

Students performed live music while vintage tractors and vehicles were also on display.

The school’s fencing team were also presented with the Waratah Shield for winning the competition at Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days.
