Shire of Narrogin installs solar panels at caravan park in bid to bolster sustainability and reduce costs

Narrogin Caravan Park will soon be “harnessing the power of the sun” with the Shire of Narrogin announcing the installation of 72 solar panels at the Shire-owned and operated site. Shire president Leigh Ballard said that the 415W panels are expected to pay for themselves in three years, freeing up money for local community projects and investment. “We’re thrilled to share the exciting news of the Narrogin Caravan Park’s state-of-the-art solar system,” he said. “This installation is a game-changer for several reasons and its impact will resonate throughout our community.” The 24kW solar system will make the most of Narrogin’s abundant sunshine to power the caravan park with clean, sustainable energy. “By harnessing the power of the sun, we’re taking a major step towards a greener, more sustainable future for Narrogin,” Mr Ballard said. “This initiative underscores our commitment to reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources and embracing cleaner alternatives.” Mr Ballard thanked local contractor Troy McNab of Narrogin Electrical Services for the supply and installation of the system and the council for supporting the initiative. “I am incredibly proud that Narrogin is taking this significant step towards sustainability and efficiency at the Narrogin Caravan Park,” he said. “This is a testament to our dedication to embracing Narrogin’s sunshine and utilising it for the benefit of our community.”
