Young juniors Harrison and Ellis win Christmas Cup and Perry Smith Memorial at Narrogin Speedway
Young junior sedan competitor Kaden Harrison has claimed the Christmas Cup while Georgia Ellis won the Perry Smith Memorial at Narrogin Speedway on Saturday night.
There was plenty of strong racing across the night but Harrison was dominant in the junior sedan division, winning all three heat races and then the 10-lap final.
That performance helped him win the Christmas Cup and also top spot in the juniors ahead of Lucas Stevens and Adam Reynolds.
Ellis received the Perry Smith Memorial Trophy for her efforts in the junior formula 125s, winning three of the four events.
There was a large field in the division and it was Olivia Hann who claimed the feature race, by 0.969 seconds to deny Ellis a clean sweep.
Ellis was third in the final and Kade Kulker was third across the line.
In the senior formula 125s Bill Beeck was too strong for Sam Jewell and Darren Cartwright in final.
Beeck crossed the line just 0.269sec. ahead of Jewell after 20 laps.
The street stocks and productions were combined for their racing and it was two Sigmas that ended up on the podium.
Glenn Smith took the win over daughter Olivia Smith, another podium finish for this family duo.
Shane Kulker was the best in the street stocks followed by an improving Nick Italiano.
Wayne Bingham took out first place in the smaller field of supermods, followed by Rex Smith in second and Luke Jury in third.
Santa also paid a visit to the meeting as the club now prepares for their next event in February 2023.
