Two people have been killed and a third is in critical condition in hospital after a motorbike collided with a car in Sydney’s West.

Emergency services were summoned to the intersection of the Hume Highway and Worth Street, Greenacre around 8pm following reports of the serious incident.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider of the motorcycle - a man aged 26 - and a pillion passenger – a woman aged 24; however, they died at the scene.

They are yet to be formally identified and police are compiling a report for the coroner.

The driver of a Toyota Corolla – a man aged 25 – was treated for serious injuries and taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
