Dozen seats between LNP and ending Labor's reign in Qld
STATE OF PLAY BEFORE THE OCTOBER 26 QUEENSLAND ELECTION
SEATS BREAKDOWN:
Total: 93
* Labor government - 51
* Liberal National Party - 35
* Katter's Australian Party - 4
* Greens - 2
* Independent - 1
47 SEATS ARE REQUIRED TO FORM A MAJORITY GOVERNMENT
The LNP have consistently led in opinion polls and need 12 seats for a majority government
That will require a uniform swing of 5.6 per cent
A 3.1 per cent swing would cost Labor five seats, reducing it to a minority government
Labor is seeking a fourth straight term in government after being in power for nine years
But Premier Steven Miles is seeking his first full term after taking over the reins from perennial premier Annastacia Palaszczuk in December 2023
The LNP last held power in 2012-15 but Labor has been in government for 30 of the past 35 years
