Jeremy Cameron has left teammates with open mouths gasping for air with an unbelievable Qualifying final goal against Port Adelaide.

At a ground that’s seen a special goal or two from the pockets, Cameron added a special entry as Geelong made a fast start at Adelaide Oval.

Tyson Stengle got the scoring underway with an opportunistic soccer out of mid-air, but the Geelong key forward ensured the smalls weren’t the only ones enjoying the finals limelight.

Oliver Henry dived on a loose ball in the forward 50 before firing a handball off to Cameron.

The forward, fresh off a nine-goal effort against West Coast in the final round of the home-and-away season, brushed off a Travis Boak hand while running towards the boundary before shaping his body towards the goals.

As Power defender Aliir Aliir arrived on the scene, Cameron put ball to boot with a snap from a nearly impossible angle.

However, nearly was the operative word.

The Port defenders and Cameron’s teammates could only watch on in disbelief as the ball bent through the big sticks for the Cats’ second major.

A strong Geelong supporter base was on their feet, and Cameron turned to the crowd to soak in the moment.

It was a typically hot start to the first of 2024’s AFL finals series, but the Cats settled the better of the two teams.

Risking transitions didn’t pay off early for the Power, while Geelong made the most of their opportunities to have three goals on the board halfway through the first term.
