Brooklyn's Ben Simmons has chipped in with 12 points, including a key running lay-up in the final term, as the Nets came back to defeat the Toronto Raptors 101-94 in the NBA.

Cameron Johnson had 33 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for Brooklyn, while, along with Simmons, Shake Milton added 12 points and Noah Clowney 11 on Thursday.

Johnson's haul included 13 points in the final 2:24 to help the Nets end a three-game losing streak and extend Toronto's losses to six straight.

Toronto had led by 10 points in the third quarter.

Ochai Agbaji scored 20 points for the Raptors. Gradey Dick added 19 points and Scottie Barnes 16.

In Sacramento, LeBron James had 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists while breaking the NBA record for regular-season minutes, as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings 113-100.

James spent 34 minutes on the court against the Kings to give him 57,471 in his career, moving past Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (57,446) for the record.

Anthony Davis had 21 points and 20 rebounds in the opener of a two-game set. Austin Reaves scored 35 points and D'Angelo Russell added 16 points to help the Lakers (15-12) to their third win in four games.

In Orlando, the Oklahoma City Thunder bounced back from their loss in Tuesday's NBA Cup final to defeat the Magic 105-99.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 24 of his game-high 35 points in the first half.

Isaiah Hartenstein chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Thunder, who won their sixth straight regular season game, not counting the cup loss to Milwaukee.

Jalen Williams, Aaron Wiggins and Alex Caruso each added 11 points in the win.

Anthony Black led Orlando with 23 points off the bench, while Tristan da Silva and Goga Bitadze each added 15 in the side's third loss in a row.

Also scoring big on Thursday was Victor Wembanyama who racked up 42 points as the San Antonio Spurs outlasted the visiting Atlanta Hawks 133-126 in overtime.

With Atlanta up by three points late in regulation, Chris Paul sank a 3-pointer, was fouled and hit the free throw to give San Antonio a 119-118 lead with 56.5 seconds left.

Wembanyama sank one of two free throws with 17.4 seconds left to make it a two-point game.

But Hawks' De'Andre Hunter drove the lane for a dunk over Wembanyama with 11.1 seconds remaining to tie the game and force extra time.

Devin Vassell added 23 points for the Spurs while Jeremy Sochan had 20, Paul finished with 12 and Keldon Johnson hit 11.

Hunter scored 27 points to lead Atlanta, their third defeat in four games.

In other matches, the Boston Celtics went down at home 117-108 to the Chicago Bulls, the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Dallas Mavericks 118-95, the Houston Rockets downed the New Orleans Pelicans 133-113 and the Memphis Grizzlies overwhelmed the Golden State Warriors 144-93.
