Fremantle Dockers lose defender Brandon Walker to illness, Patrick Voss added to squad for Gold Coast clash

Fremantle have lost a dashing defender for their clash with Gold Coast at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

Brandon Walker will miss against the Suns due to illness and has been replaced in the 26-man squad by forward Patrick Voss.

Final teams will be released at 3pm AWST this afternoon.

Walker becomes the third change from the side that lost to the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium last week with Michael Walters (injured) and Josh Draper (omitted).

Hugh Davies will make his debut and Heath Chapman is set to return from a hamstring concern, while Tom Emmett, Neil Erasmus, Corey Wagner and Voss will fight for the final spot.

Gold Coast have made a host of changes with spearhead Ben King out with a knee injury. Western Australian product Wil Powell returns from a five-match ban for a homophobic slur, while the Suns also re-gain co-captain Jarrod Witts. Jake Rogers, Sam Day, Brandon Ellis, Lloyd Johnston, Alex Davies and Hewago Oea have been named in the extended squad.The Suns will have dropped Brayden Fiorini, Nick Holman, Jed Walter and Ned Moyle.
