The pennants championships are played between two teams of eight, with four female and four male players respectively.

Each person plays five sets on the day starting with two sets of doubles which then rolls onto one set of singles and finishes with two sets of mixed doubles.

Players are ranked from one to four in the men’s and women’s and play their opposing number from the other team.

Narrogin Tennis Club president Dale Woodruff said there was a good community spirit at the event.

“Narrogin probably has the advantage being that they’re the main town but it’s a good vibe down at the club and we enjoy playing,” he said.
