West Coast have scored a stunning victory over North Melbourne while Fremantle have been rocked by another close loss to Geelong.

Andrew Gaff returns for what will be his second last game after announcing his retirement earlier this week while Nick Larkey looms as the big challenge with injuries to Tom Barrass and Harry Edwards leaving the Eagles short in defence.

After their drought-breaking win over Gold Coast, the Eagles will hope they can sustain the pressure they showed to claim a first away win since round 23 last year.

That’s all folks!

Another huge day of footy has left the WA clubs in contrasting positions.

Fremantle may have let their top four chances slip with another close loss, while the Eagles will ensure they head into a huge off-season with some optimism after stealing a win in Hobart.

We will leave you with a bit of Dockers analysis (CLICK HERE), and see you next weekend!

The Cats win and move into the top three.

Fremantle fought hard to the end but a goal out the back summed up the issues for Fremantle.

This result and the one against Essendon will haunt what’s left of their season as the top four now looks a long way away.

Game, set match

Geelong escape out the back again and this time they make Freo pay.

The Dockers still refuse to block up the front of the contest for the oppo and like last week, they got hurt.

90 seconds left for two goals.

FRE 62, GEE 73

He missed!

Dangerfield was chasing the ball into an open goal all alone after a fast break and chose to soccer.

It came off the side of the boot and missed from point blank range!

Keeps the Dockers in the game.

FRE 62, GEE 66

Taberner subbed

Karl Worner is on for Matt Taberner in a smart tactical move.

FRE 62, GEE 64

Three for Serong

The future Freo leader just knows where to be!

The Dockers scrap the ball forward and somehow he runs through the 50 unchecked and slots the goal to regain the lead in front of 50,000.

FRE 62, GEE 58

Danger time

If there is anyone at Geelong who will stand up and challenge the Dockers it’s Dangerfield.

He takes a strong mark in the forward 50 and makes the set shot look very easy.

Cats back in front.

FRE 55, GEE 58

3QT FRE 55, GEE 51

We have a classic brewing.

Geelong missed three set shots in a row to end the quarter which keeps the Dockers in front.

The pressure is high and is forcing mistakes.

Clark still leads all comers and is having a massive day but it’s the role players like Voss who are taking the pivotal moments.

They need to shut down the Cats’ ability to transition quickly if they want to take the stranglehold.
