The PS Australian Star is a deluxe 38-guest, 19-cabin vessel that blends heritage charm with contemporary luxury. Each stateroom opens on to the deck, and it has a large dining room and a spacious bar where guests can relax and get to know each other. It is powered by a hybrid propulsion system which incorporates a vintage woodfired steam engine.

The cruise promises year-round, all-inclusive experiences featuring fine dining, a panoramic lounge, outdoor relaxation spaces, and a suite of onboard amenities.

Guests can enjoy exclusive and intimate onshore experiences crafted specifically to showcase the region’s cultural and natural heritage. They include lunch at The Mill in Echuca, a unique wine-tasting experience, an after-dark port tour to uncover ghost stories and unexplained happenings, and a visit to St Anne’s Winery to explore the intricate art of winemaking.

APT Travel Group general manager of product and operations Mladen Vukic anticipates a surge in demand for the new luxury river cruises.
