We may be well on our way into spring and warmer weather but in Tasmania it’s still quite cool — and that’s good news for those among us who crave a crackling fireplace or a steaming hot bath under the stars in a wilderness retreat.

Tourism Tasmania are well known for coming up with creative campaigns to lure visitors to the Apple Isle. The “Come Down For Air” campaign has been inviting visitors to escape mainland Australia, and experience, not only Tassie’s spectacular nature, but also its history, arts and culture.

Tourism Tasmania has put together a list of stays with fireplaces and baths (some outdoors) to keep you warm across the island state, perfect for a cosy spring getaway.

Here are five of the highlights.
